The Women of Distinction Award will allow you to meet the laureates honored in eight categories, both for their success and for their positive impact on society.

Categories
A nomination may be submitted by the candidate herself, by another person, by an organization or by members of the Nominating Committee in one or more of these following categories:
Art, Culture and Design
She enriches society through her talent and engagement, whether in the visual arts, literature, architecture, design, or performing arts. She encourages creative work and the promotion and development of the arts, design, and culture.
Business and Entrepreneurship
She is an entrepreneur, manager, or professional. Her colleagues recognize her constant commitment to excellence. She has generated positive and long-lasting changes that open the way for growth and development. She demonstrates respect and commitment to her business, clients, and colleagues.
Community and Social Engagement
She is actively involved in a social or societal cause. She works for the benefit of others and contributes to the betterment of our society by virtue of her sense of fairness, social justice and mutual support.
Information, Communication and Education
She excels in the art of informing others with inspiring, enriching, and effective messages. Using her excellent communication abilities, she stimulates in others the desire to learn and become informed.
Public Services
She works in the public or parapublic sector. Her role involves listening to her community’s needs and defending their interests with conviction. She is the voice of change because with her words and acts she sparks action.
Research and Innovation
Her research and the innovative concepts it brings forward generate significant change in her field and society. She is a visionary who puts her work to practical use.
Sport and Health/Wellness
Her work is to promote and develop health, physical activity, and wellness in her community. She brings about positive long-lasting change by encouraging people in her community to change some of their habits and prioritize healthy lifestyle choices, for both their bodies and their minds.
The Environment and Sustainable Development
Deeply committed to the ecology, she works to address the climate emergency, proposes alternatives or mobilizes to protect the environment or wildlife

Three special prizes are awarded by the YWCA Montreal by nomination.
Achievement
She is someone who has distinguished herself in the course of her career and who plays a leading role in her industry. In the eyes of her peers, she is a model to follow.
Coup de coeur
She is a volunteer, a participant or a resident who has brought positive and lasting change to her life or to the life of other women.
Inspiration
She or he is someone who, by their concrete action, brings positive and lasting change in terms of inclusion, social and gender equality, women’s security and the reduction of violence.
