On October 31st, the Women of Distinction and Inspirationelle Awards will be presented at the Centre Sheraton Montréal, co-chaired by Edith Cloutier (Regional President, Quebec at Rogers and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Y Foundation) and Geneviève Cloutier (Partner, Compensation and Performance at Normandin Beaudry).
Celebrating the achievements of nineteen inspiring women in a variety of fields, this landmark event showcases women’s leadership and raises funds to support the YWCA Montreal’s mission: to build a better future for the women and girls of Montreal.

” WOMEN’S VOICES, EMPOWERING STORIES “
The theme of the 2023 event is “Women’s Voices, Empowering Stories”, inspired by the unique journeys of the YWCA participants and laureates, who hail from different generations and spheres in our community.
During the event, laureates will share and inspire guests with their experiences, unique perspectives and achievements. Those attending will also have the chance to exchange ideas and participate in activities that will encourage reflection on how to achieve greater equality and social inclusion.
SOLIDARITY EVENT IN SUPPORT OF THE YWCA MONTREAL
All proceeds generated by the event will be donated in their entirety to the YWCA Montreal. These funds will contribute to supporting essential programs and services provided by the YWCA Montreal to women and girls facing social and economic vulnerability.

THE STORY OF THESE EVENTS
The Women of Distinction Awards stand out due to the diversity of their recipients and their pan-Canadian nature. For over 40 years, from British Columbia to the Maritimes, they have been presented by member associations of the YWCA Canada movement to celebrate women’s leadership and achievement.
In Montreal since 1994, the Women of Distinction Awards have been helping to recognize the role of women in the advancement of society. . They spotlight women who, through their commitment and achievements in their respective spheres, have made a positive and lasting impact. Over the past 28 years, 322 exceptional women and three men have proudly received this award.
In 2015, the Inspirationelle Awards were created to complement the Women of Distinction Awards, honouring up-and-coming young women from various sectors.
In addition to recognizing the achievements of inspiring women, the Women of Distinction and Inspirationelle Awards provide financial support to the YWCA Montreal as it fulfills its mission: building a better future for women and girls. This mission is at the heart of a broader vision, one that envisions an inclusive, egalitarian, and non-violent society where women and girls have the power to fully realize their potential.
