Violence doesn’t take a break during the holidays.

In fact, during the holidays, violence can intensify.

Statistics show that violence does not slow down during the festive season with some researchers suggesting that it actually increases during the “most wonderful time of the year”.

• 78% of domestic violence victims are women.
• 432,000 women have been victims of domestic violence in Canada.
• 1 out of 3 women has experienced at least one sexual assault since the age of 16.
• 82% of sexual assault victims are women.

Violence against women must stop.

The YWCA Montreal provides services and programs all year-long to support women and girls who are victims of all forms of violence.

It is through your donations that our organization can help build a better future for the women and girls of Greater Montreal.

Help us continue our efforts and make a difference.
