Virginie Francoeur is a professor, a researcher and a writer active in scientific and artistic arenas. As a holder of a doctorate in management (Laval University), a master’s degree in organizational development and a bachelor’s degree in management (HEC Montreal), her priority is to put people and the environment at the heart of organizational change. Since 2020, she has been a professor of change management in the Department of Mathematical and Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, where she leads a team researching eco-responsible behaviors. To tackle the ongoing climate crisis, she published Green Behaviors in the Workplace (2022) to accelerate ecological transitions. Her pedagogical innovations have earned her four Awards of Teaching Excellence.
A member of the Québec Union of Writers (UNEQ), she has published two poetry collections (Encres de Chine, 2015 and Inde Mémoire, 2018 at Écrits des Forges), two essays (Leadership machiavélique, 2018 and Sciences et arts, 2019 at the Presses de l’Université Laval) and a novel (Jelly bean, 2018, Druide, shortlisted for the literary prize Prix France-Québec). She intends to continue to engage stakeholders through her teaching, research and creative projects.
