Manuelle Oudar is the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission for Standards, Equity, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST), an organization of 5,000 people. She is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, a member of the board of governors of the Financial Management Institute of Quebec, and the chair of the board of directors of the Association of Québec Women in Finance (AFFQ).
The empowerment of women, pay equity, and social justice have always been of great importance to Manuelle Oudar, and her achievements were highlighted by the Leadership Award from the Association of Québec Women in Finance in 2017, the year she was also among Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. In 2023, she was awarded the Executive of the Year Award by the Quebec order of professional human resources and industrial relations.
In office since January 2016, she oversaw the merger of the three commissions that now form the CNESST, an accomplishment that earned her the 2022 UN Prize for her efforts towards gender equality, economic justice, equity, women’s empowerment, and reducing inequalities and wage gaps.
