Call for nominations – 2017 Women of Distinction Awards

Seeking committed, innovative and inspiring women!

Do you know a woman who has made a positive and long-lasting impact on our society? Introduce her to the rest of the world by nominating her for one of the Women of Distinction Awards given out by the Women’s Y Foundation of Montréal.

The Women’s Y Foundation of Montreal has presented these unique awards for the last 24 years. This year, in addition to the YWCA Montreal Coup de Coeur Award and the Inspiration Award, women will be honoured in seven categories. The aim of the Women of Distinction Awards is to acknowledge women’s role in advancing our society (innovation, discoveries, inspiration) by celebrating women who, through their commitment and achievements in different spheres of activity, have had a positive and long-lasting impact on society. The event is also a way to support YWCA Montreal in its mission to help build a better world for women and girls. The 2017 laureates will be announced in May and the award ceremony will take place on September 26, during the Women of Distinction Awards benefit evening. This gala event is a grand occasion for meetings and inspiring discussions that brings together over 500 people every year. Proceeds are used to support the programs and services of YWCA Montreal.

Over the last 23 years, no less than 260 recipients have proudly passed the torch from generation to generation in their respective categories. Last year, we honoured the impact, innovation, inspiration, and commitment of our laureates, including the rapper Koriass, who received the Inspirational Man Award for his support for the feminist cause. Louise Champoux-Paillé received the award for Outstanding Achievement.
