Reveal a Woman of Distinction!Montreal, November 28 2018 –The Women’s Y Foundation is pleased to put out a call for candidates for the 2019 Women of Distinction Awards. Now is the time to send in the name of a Woman of Distinction, to publicly acknowledge a woman working in any field whose actions have reshaped her own personal and professional world, as well as ours. Take this opportunity to shine a light on a woman you admire – friend, colleague or other – because of her leadership and her ability to motivate other women and girls.
Since 1994, the Women of Distinction Award of the Women’s Y Foundation aims to: acknowledge women’s role in social advancement, because they celebrate women who, through their engagement and achievements in their respective fields, are making a long-lasting and positive impact on society. The Foundation uses its added social value to support the YWCA Montreal in its mission to build a better future for women, girls and their families.
For the last 25 years, 295 remarkable women and one (1) man have been honoured by the Women’s Y Foundation. In 2019: the spotlight is on inspirational women who empower those around them!
Until Friday January 25, 2019, submit a candidacy in one of the following (7) categories:
- Arts, Culture and Design
- Research and Innovation
- Business and Entrepreneurship
- Social and Environmental Engagement
- Information and Education
- Sport and Health/Wellness
- Public Services
