To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the YWCA Montreal is launching a major collective initiative: 150 drives for 150 years of impact.
The goal: to mobilize businesses, organizations and community members around a shared act of solidarity — gathering quality clothing, giving it a second life, and helping women dress for success, all while reducing textile waste.
Each drive is paired with a call for donations to create an even greater impact: 150 drives = $150,000 in clothing and donations to help transform the lives of thousands of women.
The clothing collected will support Fringues, our social thrift boutique, which gives garments a new life while generating revenue to sustain our programs and support women’s autonomy.
In 2025, the YWCA Montreal supported 5,167 people, reached 2,180 youth, provided more than 5,500 hours of psychosocial intervention, ensured 55 safe housing units, and offered over 400 free activities.

Organizing a drive is simple and impactful!
Invite your colleagues, partners, or friends to donate quality clothing, pair each donation with a financial contribution, and experience a unique moment of solidarity!
The document includes all the steps to plan your drive, engage your network, and support the full range of programs and the mission of YWCA Montreal.

Financial donations for lasting impact on a woman’s journey
Each piece of clothing donated, combined with a financial contribution has a tangible impact on a woman’s journey toward autonomy, freedom, and independence.
CLOTHING + $DONATION = REAL IMPACT
---
A sweater + $25 = a grocery gift card for a participant
A coat + $75 = a support group to help our caregivers
Boots + $150 = a day and a night in a safe room with meals and support
A bag of clothes + $500 = significant monthly support for a tenant in one of our community housing units
Each clothing drive becomes a catalyst for social change, benefiting women and their families
