Three women known for their dynamism, generosity and talents
Zeeta Maharaj holds a Master’s degree in Arts and Psychology as well as a Bachelor degree in Human Relations She has been working for many years as a counsellor and a facilitator, especially with young adults. Zeeta is also very active in the media world, having worked as a researcher and producer for Breakfast Television as well as being a reporter and weather presenter for Global. She has co-anchored a radio show on Toronto’s CKLN 88.1, co-founded Vinyl Mag and has been a + size model. She is the voice of the blog Zeeta | Making it happen.
Carole St-Denis is well-known to Quebec television and radio audiences. She is a blogger and host of numerous events. She has hosted the television show Air on TVA Sports, narrated La joute (Télé-Québec), co-anchored Caféïne (formerly TQS) and reported on Salut Bonjour! and Airoldi pour une sortie at Canal Vie. Her radio credits include Week-end Souvenirs garantis on 98.5 FM and Rock Détente. A versatile and engaged communicator, Carole was the Coup de coeur spokesperson for the Centre hospitalier de Mont-Laurier. She has also worked many years as a reporter-blogger to Zurbaines.com and we can read her on the blog naitreetgrandir.com.
A passionate entrepreneur, Déborah Cherenfant owns a line of fashion and decoration accessories that builds on the talent of immigrant women to produce locally. That is how Coloré Design came to life in 2012. In 2015, she established Marché Coloré, a new shop concept which brings together pieces from designers who crave patterns, fabrics and colours. It is also in 2015 that Deborah has represented Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit in Istanbul, Turkey. In 2016, she is nominated as Chairperson to the Board of Compagnie F, entrepreneurship au féminin, and member of the Board of Directors of KANPE Foundation. Déborah is the recipient of the 2016 Women of Distinction Awards in the Entrepreneurship category, presented by the Women’s Y Foundation. She is also the author of a successful blog on female entrepreneurship named Mots d’Elles and is the co-founder of BIAS, think tank culturel.
